Sports day

The sports day festival in my daughter’s school will be held this week, and they don’t look that excited about it. It is not like in Junior High School that they both were so excited a month before the event. The excitement is less now, maybe because they grew up and feel less inclined to participate in it.

High school is different from Junior high. In High school students are more adult like, while Junior high school students are still kids and more able to enjoy this kind of event. High school students are more independent and less inclined to make friends, on the other hand Junior high school students are more open to the idea of making new friends and also more opened to talk to each other.

This will be the first festival for them and for us parents, too. I hope we both, parents and students, enjoy it and have a good time. And did you like sports day in high school?

Dia esportivo

O festival do dia esportivo na escola de minhas filhas sera realizado esta semana e elas nao parecem muito animadas com isso. Nao e como no Ensino fundamental, que ambas se animavam um mes antes do evento. Agora a empolgacao e menor, talves porque elas creceram e se sentem menos interesadas a participar.

Tem uma diferenca importante entre o Ensino medio e o Ensino fundamental. No Ensino medio os alunos sao mais adultos, enquanto os alunos no Ensino fundamental ainda sao criancas e mais capazes de aproveitar este tipo de evento. Os alunos do Ensino medio sao mais independentes e menos propensos a fazer amigos, por outro lado, os do Ensino fundamental sao mais abertos a idea de fazer novos amigos e tambem mais abertos a conversar uns com os outros.

Este sera o primeiro festival esportivo para elas e para nos pais tambem. Espero que todos os pais e alunos tenham um bom dia na escola. E voce gostou do dia esportivo no seu Ensino medio?
